This sort of thing is why I'm researching South and Central American countries to go into exile in. I'm actually embarrassed to be an American when this is the face the world sees.

The mapp gas torch will not be of much use. They simply don't get hot enough. The air chisel will help. If you have access, you may also want to try an impact gun, just for the rotational shock. The one time I had a stuck cradle bolt, an air hammer with a ground down chisel tip (ground down to just ...

Also, if you shouldn't have any bumpsteer issues driving in a straight line if your alignment is right, unless the road is VERY bad. If someone did an alignment on the car and set the rear toe to 0 you can have stability problems at high speeds. High speed stability problems can also be helped by ad...

Yeah, but if you're sure about the p/n they don't need to know what car/engine it is, they don't even need to know the name of the part (unless they are REALLY dumb). Anyone can punch 8 digits into the system.

If you're sure that's the p/n you need, just call a dealer and give them the number. They may be able to run it through their locater and find one locally, too.

Re: Update.

And I think my fuel injectors are leaking which is why the car smells so bad while its running so I'll be looking for some fuel injectors. You may find that only the injector o-rings are leaking, not the injectors themselves. It may not hurt to replace the injectors, but if you are on a budget, or ...

Cost no object, Japanese import... Definitely an NSX. That is one sexy car.

Out of the options given, however, the Supra gets my vote. It's also a slick car, but the engine's in the wrong end.

Well, good news. The dead cylinders are getting a signal to the injectors. The non working and working cylinders are all getting 6V at idle. So this narrows it down to an injector or spark issue. I'll pull the front coil pack tomorrow, look at the spark plugs and maybe rig a way for me to check spa...

Would it be possible to wait to drop school until after this semester? If you are producing these things in house couldn't you work nights until the end of the semester? Also you need to consider who the purchaser is, and whether or not they'll be paying upon delivery or like a net 30 arrangement. C...

3800 SC Series II motor, torn apart , bad pistons and scoring on the walls, needs honed. How complete is the motor? Are we talking short block or long block? And I'm assuming no accessories or harness, correct? .030 forged pistons I bought used from ZZP should be 8:1 compression one has a ding in t...

Engine coolant is more than just antifreeze

Well, since I've moved up here to the great semi-frozen North I've discovered the miracle of engine coolant. (Not really, but I will probably be a little more religious about using it.) After not driving my Fiero for a couple weeks, I decided to drive it to work the other day. So, I get in it and ta...

The expansion volume is actually about the same height as the stock battery location. What I'm thinking of would put the battery below that, as low in the chassis as it can go. Now that you mention it, I do remember it being fairly high under the bodywork... It's been a while since I've done much w...

Dropping it straight down and mounting it behind the right quarter panel wouldn't be far off. You could hinge the 1/4 panel and use 1/4 turn fasteners to hold it shut. Vaguely like the C4 Corvettes, except behind the door, not in front. This might not work on the '87-88's because of the Evap tank m...
