Re: Driver's side window stopped working

Check where the wiring passes through the door jamb. The wires can break in the harness where they flex when opening and closing the door. It can cause an intermittent open circuit.

Re: homemade bellhousing

It's not mine. I frequented this site when I was building my Rx7. The bellhousing looked familiar, so I thought I would show some of the guy's other work.

Re: '87 300ZX Turbo (not mine) gets SBC?

I've been running a T5 in my 400 sbc powered RX7 for several years. I drive it almost every day, and drag race it occasionally. The engine makes 330 whp and 400wtq. With the 100 shot of nitrous, it dynoed at 440whp and 560wtq. It's been holding up just fine.

Once the interlock is off, you will see one of the shift rails has a bushing around it. Pry the bushing out and the case should ...

Re: Ferrari F50 clutch change

I replace the clutch in a 348 a while back. It took about an hour and a half. The 348's clutch is located at the rear of the gearbox. First, you remove the muffler, then unbolt and remove the clutch housing. Sure beats having to split the car in half to replace a wear item.

It's on page 154 of the 2008 SCCA solo rule book. The Oldsmobile 442 HO w41 is on the exclusion list for stock class cars. In other words, it's too good to race in the stock classes.

Most 180* headers use slip on collectors. The slip fit is usually pretty tight. A large rubber mallet is generally required to install the collectors.
