Well if you are sticking with the 3.4 PR I would do this to try to get as close to 200 whp as you can n/a and more later with boost if you are inclined Hyper replacement pistons. Moly rings 5 angle valve job with a full port in the bowls and at the ports. Don't just do a gasket match and call the h...

If you have XP Pro at home, and broadband, set up a Remote Desktop connection. It's encrypted. Nobody can tell what you're looking at unless they have some sort of snoopware on your work 'puter that does screen caps or keylogging. They *will* see the connection on the firewall if they look for it (T...

...What would be better than having a 300+ HP V8 in a Fiero? =One that gets better than 30mpg HWY fuel economy! Don't you think? Hey... You're preaching to the choir. I do electronics for a living, so I can appreciate the technological benefits of a well designed... anything. Unfortunately I don't ...

Very cool! Have you already found a way to make the PCM play nicely without the rest of the modules that it's looking for? Or are you going for an aftermarket PCM? Or is that all still to be determined? Does the tranny use the standard PRND321 pattern, in addition to the tap shift? The only other LS...

Cool! I like boats. Especially fast ones. Wouldn't mind having a V8 Jet boat (The ones I remember are Berkely Jets), but it's waaaaay down the list of priorities. I'm amazed that you could actually find parts for yours. Good luck with your break-in issues. BTW... a guy at work has a 26' Chris Craft ...

^^^ Used a torque plate on his 4hp lawn mower yeah but it was a 1/4 hp motor before he started. I have done an engine swap on a wood chipper before. It was the easiest engine swap I ever did. The only part I had to change was a spacer between two pieces of the frame to accomodate the new engine's l...

Centerbores... VW uses 57.1. Same as the Fiero. I belive the Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler stuff is the same as well. Subaru uses 56.1. Toyota is quite a chunk smaller, but I don't remember what the measurement was, exactly. All the applicable GM stuff is 57.1 Centerbores are usually not a show stopper if...

My 88 has 17x7 (48mm) with 215/45-17s in the front, and 17x8 (35mm) with 235/45-17s in the rear. The rears are just about shot, and the replacements will be 245s. The will be nearly identical to the tire diameter of the drivetrain donor (Cadillac.) 235/45-17s are nearly identical in diameter to the ...

Well there is good news and bad news.First the bad,My engine had a head gasket let go and that stopped any more running. The good:the car on the baseline pull put 405 horses and 550 ft/lbs to the wheels and the transmission was just fine. The drivetrain has to come out of the car for the head gaskets...

Was that Mr Fieros car? Built by Chris Moore? I almost bought it once. I always had the feeling that there was something wrong. He said he wanted to sell it so that he could get a bugeye Sprite I think. Naaah. I believe he had the Sprite before he sold the 'vert. I think he sold the 'vert to try to...
