Re: Variable Valve timing.
Are you trying to do what they did with the Viper and convert it to separately variable intake and exhaust? The viper only varies the exhaust lobe timing, so in theory, the 3900's phaser would work, but yes, I'm researching the possibilities of making it happen now. it'll probably be a year or two ...

Re: Variable Valve timing.
nothing yet, just doing research on the VVT motors, as I would like to swap one in my car in the future, but I was thinking about making a few changes while I was in there, some small, some not so much. unfortunately, I have come to the conclusion that the 3900 phaser won't do what I need it to do, ...

I read through in a little detail, and it appears to be of similar design principle, but I'm still looking for diagrams of the 3900 phaser specifically.

Variable Valve timing.
As many of us already know, the "high value" series of 60*V6 have a variable cam timing setup that adjusts cam timing via the PCM. does anyone have any exploded diagrams of the phaser showing how the phaser works, and how it is put together? I've got a couple of ideas in my head that I'm k...

Re: Parts & Materials Library / Hard to Find Parts

Re: 4speed Vs. 3500
anything is possible, just depends on how in depth i decide to get with it. right now though, it's almost at the very bottom of my mod list.I already have too many projects, so I shouldn't turn my truck into one quite yet.
Does anyone know If I'll need new axles for the 4 speed swap?

Re: 4speed Vs. 3500
I ment 4.10 either way, it wasn't built for gas mileage. I'd like to see how much it weighs on a scale, o wouldn't doubt it if it was over 5500 pounds.
