Re: Coupe/Formula Front End Aero
I don't have a Fiero anymore, but if I remember correctly, there are two screw-in bump stops on each side of the decklid. How about running a steel cable with eylets on each end that you could run through the decklid latch and then secure them on each side with the bumpstops or a bolt and washer?

Re: Coupe/Formula Front End Aero
I thought that Steven had found that the hood vent made his A/C much less effective. The cabin air inlet is right at the base of the windshield. I don't see why hot air from the radiator would NOT go there. Starting with air that's that much hotter is not going to help the system efficiency any, ev...

Re: Coupe/Formula Front End Aero
Out of curiousity, has anyone actually verified that venting the hood in a Fiero 'kills' the A/C? I understand in theory that it would be sending hot air over the collector, but I do not have a wind-tunnel or real-life experience that indicates that the A/C would not be sufficient. Also, with a vent...

Re: The SERIOUS Wheel & Tire Thread
I just thought I would mention this since I own a '11 WRX. The '11+ WRX's use a 5x100 pattern and with the wider bodywork over the older models, many manufacturers are making 9.5" wheels for it. You can find many 18x9.5 wheels with ~40mm offset (Giver or take a few mm either way) pretty easily ...

Re: New Daily Driver-Subaru content inside.
Enh, I'm skeptical. That may just be because I'm madly in love with TDi wagons. Looks like a nice car, they sound so good with an exhaust. Any wheel plans? At least its not a WR Blue STi. At this point 7 kids I went to engineering school with bought the new body STi hatch when they graduated...

New Daily Driver-Subaru content inside.
After 2.5 years with my Jetta Sportwagen TDI, I decided to make a change. We bought my wife a CPO 2009 Mazda 5 back in August and that has now become our primary road-trip vehicle. It fits my wife, 2-year old son, 3-month old daughter, and my 100lb german shepherd much more comfortably that what my ...

Re: The Mule rides again (sort of) - pics.
I hate to have to even say this but... As many people that are in the Fiero community that say "a true sports car has to have a stick", I have never seen so many such people who don't know how to properly drive one. There is absolutely no reason why you would have to rev your engine up to...

Re: Autocrossing the DOHC 88 Fiero
I wish I lived closer to you. I would really like to see how that power steering setup changes the car. It has to make Autocross so much enjoyable. I was never a fan on my Fiero's in lower-speed, tight-turns as you just had to turn the steering-wheel so far. I really hope you decide to keep this Fie...

Re: Shock Valving, Spring Rates
I wonder if they are G-body front shocks. I know they are pretty darn close in dimensions to the '88 Fiero fronts.

Well I haven't updated this in awhile so I think it's about time I put something up. Exhaust Problems: See THIS thread for more detailed info. Basically my Corksport midpipe has proved to be a PITA. The aforementioned thread covered the 1st problem. Once again, I would like to give Bryan of BTEK Fab...

Re: Build Thread: RX8
Note: This update was from late June. I forgot to post it up here: I have actually been driving my RX8 a lot more than I have been working on it over the past 2 months, but I finally decided that this week I was going to get some work done on it. The first thing I did was change the oil. After readi...

Re: Lug bolts vs studs and nuts
The only advantage that I see to lug-bolts is that it's much easier to add spacers to a lug-bolt car. You don't have to press out studs, just get longer bolts.
Personally, I'm not a fan of them but I have got used to them.

Re: Project Stupid Ferrari (Formerly: Another Awesome V8 swa
Thanks! I'm working on it  I had Corvette Electron Blue in mind... I think a 308 would look fantastic in that or a similar extremely bright extremely metallic blue. I'm in love with Nissan's Monterey Blue that is on the 370Z. I'd love to see a Ferrari in that color. When I was a kid, I think ...

Re: Another Awesome V8 swap?
Since this is now a Ferrari Thread, I moved it to 'Other Cars'. This will be an interesting build. My only concern is where this will fall with your current builds. The Mule, the AMC, the BMW, and now a Ferrari. At your tedious, but thorough, pace, I might have grand-kids by the time this build is d...
