"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."
I don't mean to add another thread that just directs you to another
web page, but this guy is really out there--what in the hell is he
talking about?
Obama is going to be "tested" within six months, make an unpopular
decision and suffer in the poles because of it? WTF?
If I was Obama I'd want him fired, or at the least I'd tell him to
disappear COMPLEETLY until after the election.
I watched "Countdown" on MSNBC to humor my daughter and they
did not have a SINGLE word about this story---apparantly ripping
Palin's Saturday Night Live apprearance was more newsworthy.
We are in for a very stange 4 years people because this guy
IS going to be our VP--sorry I have lost hope for McCain.
It sure sounds like Colin Powell is just talking about the likelihood of there being more to deal with than just the economy and whatnot.
He also said this earlier in the same session:
Whoever's elected president of the United States, that first day in the Oval Office on January 21st will face this: an American economy that's in a near paralytic state at this time; we're at war in two different countries, Afghanistan and Iraq; we have an energy crisis; we have big decisions to make about health care and about global climate change.
I don't think its a reference to any specific event that he knows about but can't talk about.
As for what Biden said.. the way he explicitly states it makes it a lot more clear that he's NOT talking about the same thing as Powell.
