Newsflash: there already WAS a military autocracy, and it didn't work out so great that time, either. There *IS* no way to do what it is that you (the people) are trying to do. Political reform MUS...

There is always a valid exit strategy if you can design one. Basically do the opposite of what was done currently. Focus on stability first and foremost then worry about, in the words of Agresto, developing a rather complex "Jeffersonian Democracy." We did the reverse and it blew up in our...

Bush the Elder recognized that if we invaded Iraq during the first Gulf War, we'd have ended up EXACTLY where we are now... I completely disagree. It's all speculation but the global political climate was much different then. Many countries already had troops in the region. The threat of Saddam was...

Firing the occasional missle at a passing jet doesn't warrant a 5-year attack. As a side-note, a guy at work lost his son during that Memorial Day ambush. Really sad. 5 year attack? The "attack" only took a few weeks since then we've been trying to maintain some sort of order there. But I...

I got my money on low fluid in the reservoir. Top up, then look for reasons why it's low. :thumbleft: Sounds good, should have been an obvious check but I have been crazy busy lately and can't even think straight. :salute: I took the fluid level as being good, so you didn't check that? Na...

I bet your slave is going bad. Engine heat kills the seals. Better get a rebuild kit and the tools ready to rebuild one as the time is nigh. I just rebuilt mine. Its real easy and beats paying out the ass for a new one that might not even work. Better do it before it might leave you stranded. Is 45...

Didn't watch, but I'm assuming its the part from the Daily Show about the US giving weapons to the insurgents in Iraq to fight al Qaida? Exactly Isn't that how Saddam was thrust into power.... sorta? Well it'd be a stretch to compare it. And I would hardly say we thrusted Saddam into power, he was ...

clutch problem

My car has about 45k miles on it and I've never had any problems with the clutch. Today coming out of the harbor tunnel I noticed I could press the clutch down about 3 inches and it was like "dead space." It wasn't firm or anything, it didn't get firm until I was past that dead space. Afte...

Mach, I am not really sure what you are trying to say? The NRA is against licensing, so what are they missing? Guns will always be available, there are so many in this country you could outlaw the manufacturing tomorrow and they would still be rampant. Its not hard for any to buy a gun legally or il...
