Remember though, that new pads seat the piston almost all the way in. Assemble it with the OLD parts, and compress the caliper until it bottoms out; make sure the nick is still outside that area. Yup. Measured and measured and checked and re-measured and eyeballed and etc... and it's just barely ou...

You've never dealt with a pressed-in seal? IE a grease seal on the back of a spindle type brake rotor or in a tranny around an axle shaft? Nope, none of those. Never had a proper set of garage equipment, so never had the chance to actually check any of that stuff out myself. So yeah, therein lies t...

Fucking brake calipers. Need some "where does this go&q
Hello again, it's your friendly neighborhood bird, here to beg more advice. Long story short, through no fault of my own, my driver-side rear brake started dropping brake fluid like it had a hole in it. Tore off the wheel, couldn't exactly figure out where it was coming from. Tore the whole fucking ...

Woo... a write-up? I dunno, crunching 9 hours of work down to a single write-up may be an exercise in futility... then again, I can't imagine how many of those 9 hours were spent reverse-engineering the wires with absolutely no web help whatsoever... :P Seriously, I couldn't find shit about that ste...

I'm too dead shot tired to think of how to write up a coherant topic right now, so bear with me... I just had to come to the first place I would think would be interested in such a thing, and report my success... call it sleep drunkness. :P So anyway, what I did was first get tired of a car stereo t...

Where exactly can you get a New fiero oil pressure gauge? Are you referring to the Sending unit on the engine or the Gauge in the car? New non-GM sending units are notorious for low readings. Well, definitely not the gauge, it's electronic so there should be no need to replace it. I don't understan...

Me again. Aren't you glad to see me? :salute: (edit: Also figured this was a better place for the topic, since Maintenance and Tech seem to have a rather, eh, blurred line...) I REALLY don't want to get into this system. All the other things I've dealt with have been easy to get to... hell, even the...

Oh, well, a little update on the switch problem... I went off and bought the switch, of course. It was super-cheap, like 6 bucks, like I said. And, also, like I said, bought some oil change stuff, including a little 2-ton rolling hydraulic jack thingy for propping up the back to change the oil. Yay....
