Re: Hydrolic throw out bearing conversion concerns...
Holy resurrection, Batman! This may be old news, by now, but without rehashing the entire thread, I'll just state that I have been using a NVG-T550 (aka Cavalier Getrag) for several years now. Here's the scoop... The Fiero clutch has a higher assembled height from the flywheel friction surface of th...

Re: Anyone know how to run an E37 PCM as stand alone?
I have no idea, but I'm curious. I'd like to try the DOD/AFM version of the 3900... see if I can add 100 HP, 70 ftlbs of torque and top 30 mpg with a $500 engine. Be careful with the DOD version. I had forgotten that it even existed until I poked around a bit. They only sold it for a year or two, a...

Anyone know how to run an E37 PCM as stand alone?
As the title says... Does anyone here know how to make the E37 ECM forget about all the other modules that it likes to talk with? (BCM, ABS, TCM, etc., etc.) I have heard people allude to (on other CANBUS PCMs) just looping the CANBUS connections back on themselves, but I'm having a hard time believ...

Been a long time since I fooled with a Mopar. Used to have a couple of early 70s Barracudas. Back then, the hot ticket was a 340, or at least a pair of 340 (or 360) heads and intake. The 318 heads are supposed to be very restrictive. Probably now, I'd just do the 5.9 (360) Magnum. Personally, I like...

Apparently, as of last month, it works with any VDF that is available from TC.darkhorizon wrote:The moates roadrunner works with 98-02 ls1/FWD v6 pcms, and not much else.

...The tuning process for the Gen III stuff is much the same as for the flash OBDI PCM's, right? Download image through ALDL connector, modify image, reflash. It requires shutting down and restarting, right? I don't know about the flash OBDI setup, but OBDII does work as you outlined. Download, mod...

Re: Primer on Gen III/IV computer tuning software
...What would he/we have to get in order to have similar capabilities with Gen III/IV computers? How many different computers were used? How many different tuning suites are there? What are their strengths and weaknesses, etc? If I understand your question correctly, this might give you an idea. ht...

It's gonna be interesting to see how this plays out. I think Hillary is toast, but it's still early in the game. Here are some questions and observations... Obama. Can a black man be elected? I certainly think it's possible. Colin Powell would have been a shoo-in. I'd have voted for him in a millise...

... Also, the reverse light wiring will have to be changed... If the car is an 86, the harness should contain the wiring for the 5 speed (tranny mounted) reverse light switch. You'll probably have to unwrap some tape. Then just plug it in. All manual tranny Fiero axles are the same. Muncie, Isuzu, ...

What I'm wondering is, since the 3x00 ships with the square profile, would it be beneficial to keep that square profile if the aluminum heads were going to be used, instead of going with the staggered profile such as the 272 or the Crower. Just something to think about, before spending a bunch of mo...

Ok I didn't know you had it running through an auto tranny. That right there plays a good role. A 272 cam would help out ... There are no shops that I know of anymore that tune old crappy obd gm garbage on a dyno. Its all standalone now. I know of no shops that have eprom burners, emulaters, or wha...

didn't you already dyno yours at around 130 whp? He won't need larger then 19 lb injectors eihter on a n/a setup. The last dyno was 134 whp. That was through the slushbox, with unported heads, lower intake, and stock cam (albiet with 1.6 rockers.) I thought it should have made more, but it was what...
