bought a new dd
I was looking for something that got good mpgs and was still a fun driver, so i picked up an 01 Integra gsr. It is my first honda so its a bit different than what I'm used to, but so far I'm really liking the car. It is a bone stock one owner car which is pretty hard to find in a teg. So far my plan...

Re: 5.3 and northstar intake manifolds
I would have to look, but I think I'm about out of 5.3 stuff. The throttle bodies are for electric throttle control so I don't know if you could use them or not. I will take 50$ plus shipping for the complete northstar intake manifold.

Re: Best tire size for stock gt wheels?
Thanks for posting the pic. I'm waiting for my WCF springs to come in before I order tires, but I think I'll go with the 60s to fill out the fenders. Then I'm going to install the new springs, a total poly kit, aluminum cradle bushings, and the tires all at once to freshen the entire suspension.

5.3 and northstar intake manifolds
I have 2 5.3 intake manifolds complete with throttle and fuel rails. I also have an intake manifold for a northstar complete with throttle body/fuel rail/injectors, but I am unsure of what year it is. I can provide pics upon request. I listed one of the 5.3 manifolds on ebay heres a link http://cgi....

Re: Best tire size for stock gt wheels?
I like the idea of the lower profile tire, but Im afraid the 225/50 will look small even with the car lowered. Anyone ran the 50 series?

Best tire size for stock gt wheels?
I'm going to be picking up some new tires for my GT soon and I'm not sure what size to go with. I was thinking of going with 225/60/15s, but I ordered some of WCF's springs/coilovers recently so it will be dropped somewhere around 1.5" front and 2" rear. So basically what I'm trying to dec...

Re: I has a Jeep
Ha, as much as that'd be cool, I doubt they'd want to. They sell easy headers. A 180* set would need a number of bolt together flanges, and wouldn't be easy. If I do make a set, I want them to be completely stainless. This means I need to buy a TIG welder... You can weld stainless with a mig welder.

Re: F23 tranny swap?
I just bought an 87 fiero getrag I found in michigan, and I'm having it shipped to me. It has 100k on it, but that is about as good as I think im going to find.

Re: F23 tranny swap?
I talked to the guy again at the local yard and the car he has with the getrag has 158xxx on it. I would hate to replace my trans with a worn out one that will fail soon. My getrag that failed only had around 140k on it...

Re: F23 tranny swap?
Im looking for a getrag now, I was just trying to see what my options were because I havent been having any luck at all finding a tranny with the exception of the one I mentioned above. The cavalier tranny is local so Ill see if I can take a look at it this week to see about the throw out bearing.

Re: F23 tranny swap?
I just got a line on a 91cavalier V6 5 speed tranny. Does anyone have an idea as to what tranny that would be and if it would work?

Re: F23 tranny swap?
The car just had the original 282. I had been considering looking for a 284, but I wasnt sure how readily available they are since it has been so long since they made them.

F23 tranny swap?
The diff came apart in my getrag, and put a hole in the side of the case over the weekend. I think the f23 might be a good option for me. I remember reading about someone swapping a F23 trans in awhile ago, but I couldnt find any info doing a search. Any info on what it takes to do the swap would be...

Re: Sway bar
I installed the rear bar today using uretane end link bushings, and just stock rubber mounts for now. So far I am quite happy with it. There is a night and day difference in sharp corners, and just driving hard through corners on the street it seems well balanced. I would like to get it in an autocr...

Re: Sway bar
I see what you are saying now. That makes sense. I was actually planning to go through the rest of my suspension after I get my GLH project car back together. I was considering going with coil overs in the rear and just lowering springs and stiffer shocks in the front. Does anyone have any insight o...
