It takes longer than 10 minutes to remove the intake, cam carrier covers and the timing belt covers with the engine out of the car and on a stand. If you have the earlier engine add the time it takes to get the cogs and retainers off (and on again).

love it. we want tests! no unsubstantiated claims! OK fine. I'll rig a test in the near future. Similar to the rod method mentioned above if you'll accept the measurement with a non-contact pyrometer. I'll start out with one rod at 150°F and the other at 100°F and graph time vs. temp for heatsink...

any data to back this up, like a thermal conductivity test? Uh, no. It is aluminum after all and we don't have to worry about electrical conductivity. The purpose of the goo is to fill any air pockets between whatever device you have and the heat sink. Lemme see. Aluminum baseplate on the module. A...

Copper sheet, a pair of snips and a couple of hole punches is creative? OK.

Aluminum (copper too I would think) anti-seize make an acceptable substitute for thermal compound when replacing an ignition module.

Let's count the threads on .nl of all the people with glowing manifolds, and compare that in proportionality to ANY other GM model-specific forum with the same posts. Most of those are machines due to poor maintenance. Let's instead go count how many people have a car that is not a complete beater....

Those are for an automatic. Doug Chase didn't make those by the way. There is no provision for an EGR valve.
That was my point. Apples and oranges.

They look better than WCF and the Fierostore offerings.

Ignorant/stupid person here. I have an ignorant and quite possibly stupid question. Where do I put the E...

Leak at the air line fitting? What is the oil for? It appears that the actual pump assembly is surrounded by oil. It looks like there are plenty of places for oil to leak in. Take apart the stack and give the mating surfaces a very thin layer of locktite blue.

Nevada = 286,367 sq. km. in area
That's 286,367,000,000 sq. meters
Full sun at noon on Earth = 1200 watts sq. M
That's 343 Terawatts and change assuming 100% efficiency. For 8 hours or so per day. (unless I screwed up the math)
