alright so I'm planning on putting my egr back on.
now onto the egr vacuum solenoid.
I know one nipple goes to the egr and one nipple goes to the TB. my question is does the top or bottom go to the EGR?
the vacuum diagram does not show this clearly.

How fast does it turn when it's trying to idle? If it never gets below 2,000 RPM, you definitely have the EGR vacuum leak. you said that I might have a egr leak. I took my fingers and pulled the egr diaphram up and before it would lower the rpms but now it doesnt do anything. How many of you block ...

Just got it started today, got some questions
Well today I replaced my dist. cap and rotor today because I noticed the tip was burnt to a crisp on my old one. So I started it up today and It's backfiring really bad and the rear exhaust Mani is glowing hot red. I'm not sure if this is normal or not because I haven't really had it running until n...

well i ended up taking a mirror and taping it to a wiring harness so I can see the plugs. I found out by searching some forums that crud builds up around the plugs which prevented me from getting the socket on. So I got those changed. My new problem (i know I'm being annoying) is that when I got the...

Changing firewall spark plugs
Ok so I thought changing the plugs would be the easiest thing to do on this car. WRONG very wrong. fronts- good, those back three are kicking my butt. Is there something I missed because the socket doesnt seem to get on the plug. I have all of the intake off so I thought it would be easy. Its a 86 S...

What does jumping the two white wires off of the distributor do? They are jumped on my v6. Here is a pic I pulled off OnDemand with my jumper edited in.

Thanks for the help guys! I ended up taking the lower intake off like whipped said and drilling out the original bolt from below. This gave me access to the broken easy out so I can PUNCH-IT-OUT! I was able to save most of the threads. Too bad GM didn't think harder on the steel to aluminum thing. :...

removing a broken bolt
today I attempted to remove the upper half of the intake manifold. I succeeded but one of the bolts broke into the lower half. There was a lot of corrosion where the bolts threaded into. So I drilled a hole through the broken bolt and tried to use an easy out. Who ever invented them was a piece of c...

I just removed the LF caliper. When I removed the flex line from the caliper the piston did not retract into its bore. Shouldn't it release the rotor? I used a C clamp to press the piston into the caliper. It was quite tough going back in. I removed the caliper and pushed the piston out and found no...

front brakes not releasing
Alright here it goes. A couple of weeks ago I purchased my first Fiero, a 86' SE. It has sat for 3 years so the brakes were in pretty poor shape. So far I have replaced everything brake related in the rear end, excluding the left rear flex line. (I plan on doing that soon) In the front I replaced th...
