Welds look good to me man. The only people who bitch are the ones who need to find something about a good build to pick apart.
Your wastegate inlet, and dump, are both well-designed and well-positioned. I likes. Your exhaust is also very nice. You definately won't have any problems there.
If I may give one suggestion, may be too late now, but your O2 sensor may be a bit close to the turbine. You generally want them 12" or farther out, as it is simply too hot. But with, and don't take this as an insult, such a low specific output turbo build, I doubt your EGTs will be high enough to damage anything. But if your O2 fails, that'd be the reason. So I'd leave it until the if/come/maybe of failure.

the sensor hole is about 8" from the turbine. It may get a little hot but I don't think its as much of an issue as people think it is. look at a dsm for example. I was more concerned about keeping it away from where the ignition coil is going to be, as I know people that have had problems with electrical noise throwing off their readings.
low specific output? what you got for dyno numbers?

he doesn't have any yet.
AS far as the o2 sensor is concerned it is fine. Look how close OEM sensors are to the turbo or thehead or just in general. The quicker that o2 heats up the quicker the computer can switch the tune into closed loop burning less fuel and less emissions
Its the wideband sensors that can't be too close to the turbo. My o2 factory o2 sensor is like 3 inches from the turbine outlet. No problems after 2 years and thats with running nitrous through it and thats going to be super hot exhaust temps.
Any new pics or updates to share Don?

Rota Torques, eh? The W2A IC. I was thinking of running one on mine but the pictured unit is pretty expensive. I have been chatting with my buddy, Tom at ETS on making a custom one for my Fiero. But to be honest I am beginning to hate the car and the new G8 GT is looking more appealing by the day. Even more so with the $8k off employee pricing incentive. :thumbleft:

Yeah, the rotas weren't my first choice, but they were cheap and look way better than the stock 14's IMO.
The IC is an ebay special

Re: I never claimed to be a welder (aka Don's Turbo Build)
UPDATE:
well, it warmed up enough this weekend that I could lay on the garage floor and not fall victim to frostbite.
pulled the tank, drained the old gas, and installed the walbro.
fired it up, neglected to adjust my fuel settings, and fouled the plugs.
cleaned the plugs and got it to idle nice but my VE map is still way too rich now. I'm gonna dial the fuel back and give it another shot this weekend. weather permitting of course....

You shouldn't have to touch anything in the PCM or FPR installing a new fuel pump.

You do when you were previously trying to tune on a failing pump.
Yeah, yeah I know...
I should really break down and get a fuel pressure test gauge one of these days.

it might be a little loud for some people, but not horrible. I still need to pick up a 45* bend to finish up my tailpipe and run it out under the bumper.

Re: I never claimed to be a welder (aka Don's Turbo Build)
woo-hoo!
got my tuning worked out well enough that I decided try a lil boost yesterday. I started slow, just easing in and backing off, running datalogs each time and adjusting my fuel map, and eventually worked my way up to 10psi
I don't usually brag but, at ten pounds this thing is NO joke

ok, so I'm sitting around yesterday trying to figure out how I got to 10psi.
I mean, it said on the tial box that it had the red, 5.8 spring installed and this was an unused item. So unless the line was kinked or something, it shouldn't ever go that high, right?
