Honestly I think if America was ever ripe for violent revolution... it will be within the next 4 years. Thats absolutely ridiculous, I don't know whether to call it fascist, or communist. Taking out the leaders, just waiting for collectivization.

Meh, it's not the first time it happened and it's not the last. Government involvement in business happens a lot. Considering the Fed is throwing billions at these companies, I think it's good that they are getting involved (I would have preferred that they let them fail though). I think people are overreacting a bit. The government has actually done some good in situations like these in the past. The government creation of Conrail actually turned out pretty well and actually earned a profit for the taxpayer.

I'll take a wait-and-see approach.

Good incentive for other large companies to not ask for $$$.
