Not as accurate as you think. When the numbers change fast they become a blur, plus there is some delay time on the speedo, and I imagine the tach.

Who cares how accurate the oil pressure or fuel guages are? The stockers are just fine.

There are WAY better things to buy for $2k...

The actual display properties are of course not going to be extremely accurate, that is why they also have the bars (Although those have increments). I rode/ride an RC51, which fyi is fully digital, and I'm aware of the constantly changing numbers, and yes, it can be annoying I agree.

I agree, that is why I didn't offer him $2k.

Nahhh, I didn't offer him that much. Let's just say taking the original cost into account, the offer I made was laughable, but I'd also include my perfect cond gauge pod from my 88GT for him. So I told him to consider it if and when he sells the car, and he said if the buyer doesn't demand the gauges, he might seperate with them.

Either way, I'll be happy. I'd sorta like to build my own anyways...

I don't even care that much for digital dashes.
But I gots to tell you... I've seen this car in person. That dash is badass.
If I didn't have other stuff I wanted to do (like actually getting paint on my other car), I'd consider one.

Once you're spending $2k on a digital dash, you might as well buy a motec:

See neither of those really get me going. For some reason I really liked the AEX.

To go with my digi dash obsession, I've been half assly looking into some swaps to maybe try in a couple years. I looked at the really expensive high quality half circle one (Forgot who makes it). It was a really awesome piece, but just didn't look good to me. It was a single car, didn't have many bars, and didn't look pleasing to my eye.

The other one is a 2004-05 S2000 dash, If you havn't see these, they are hot. That is all there is to say. Hot. Unfortunately they would be a pita to get working. After some research, even swapping them into another Honda is a real chore. But OMG is it hot, and has a 8000 redline, which would be good if my future 3.4 ever gets the intended mods.

Don't be knockin' '80's domestic digi-dashes. I'm swapping a digi-cluster from an '87 Pontiac 6000 STE into my '90 6000 SE. <snicker>

I am actually doing the swap... but only because I can't see both the tach and the speedo of the analog cluster at the same time. The steering wheel blocks one or the other depending on how I have it tilted.

Also the resolution of the tach and speedo both suck moose wang.

But I'm not doing it because it's "cool"... because it isn't.
