And I agree with a lot of that, which is why I'm personally against contemporary Affirmative Action.
While our generation cannot be held liable, we cannot also forget our roots and the roots of this country. It has to do with learning from history to not make the same mistakes again.
But I totally disagree with having to live thru and era to have the right to complain about something. I think out standing is there for good, as this kind of treatment carries over forever. I have a standing to be offended by treatments of not only my own race, gender, age, culture, etc., but also everyone else’s.
But I think it's idiotic to blame 1960, 70, 80's whites for crimes committed by our predecessors and hold us accountable via AA and rejection of benefits. This, "white male privilege" is a crock and has died long ago for most people but the very rich.
