Hey, thanks for the part numbers. I appreciate it.

I have one more question for you though.

Did the heads come that nicely port/polished when you received them from Will, or did the machine shop not only assemble them, but also did some port/polish work for you?

Thanks for the additional info! :salute:

Could you get some sort of spacer made to go between the valve cover and the engine? The engine looks awesome!

That's sweet man... why would you want to cover that up with valve covers?

You still haven't.
I think the plastic things in the V are the anti-rotation retainers for roller lifters.

they are the anti-rotation retainers as will said, they are a type of plastic...they came stock on the 3400... the inner ledge must be ground down for the LIM to fit..

the newer 3100 & 3400 have roller lifters. roller lifters need guides to keep them from spinning, like normal lifters. thats all that bar is. the guide to keep the lifter square, so the roller, can roller on the cam.

Holy montrous diameter pushrods batman!!! What are those 5/8th diameter? I am guessign thts why you didnt' use your pushrod guideplates?

Also I doubt you will be able to get the valve covers any more height. I guess you could try to grind some out of the inside of the valve cover. But I think what you are going to have to do is grind down on the rockers.

appropriate machining and welding can add height to the stock valve covers... and make the mod "stealth".

pushrods are 3/8, i had my guideplates machined then realized that the rockers are self aligning so i dont need them after all.

i guess we will have to wait until i cand get the MIM on and check what kind of clearance we are looking at..

so what exactly do they prevent from rotating? the pushrods and lifters rotating is important to even wear (for flat tappets anyways)
