Northstar Help

Post by groovieguy »

Little background
Picked up a 93 Seville STS runs and drives.
Have 87 GT

I originally was going to go nuts and get everything to set-up in the GT.
Parts, I have gotten and still may use is a fresh set of heads, ported, polished, 3-angle. Gaskets, Holley computer (On ebay now)

Now this is what I decided to do K.I.S.S.

Today I stripped the whole interior and dash.
Now I have access to all the wiring.
Plans are to take the whole wire-harness out along with using the Instrument cluster and the Key.
I am hoping that I can use the shifter also.
I do have FSM for the Cadi

Here are the questions:
How much of the Cadi stuff do I need?
I am not running A/C or cruise on it
Will the stock fuel pump work with a stock N*
Any idea of If need both fuseblocks or can I narrow it down to 1?
Should I timesert since I have it out of the car??
What can I not disconnect from the ECM that would make it inoperable??
With that ? now what do I need to eliminate from the harness.

Thanks

If you're sticking with the factory computer, the goal is to move as much of it over to the fiero as possible, then use a "manual" chip.

Stock FP won't work with the northstar. Buy something like the EP376(?( Delco LT1 Corvette pump or better.

Timesert? mmm... up to you. If it runs fine, doesn't overheat, and no white smoke out the exhaust, and you aren't planning on swapping the heads, don't bother...

timeserts are great, but if you dont have stripped threads, why bother. KISS!
