Exactly... I'm sort of trying to find a job but I've pretty much given up. I've already beaten this shitty town to a pulp and there's absolutely no reason to continue going around fruitlessly handing in application after application to places that just throw them out anyway. I don't need another "lol bum get a job" speech either from anyone... I spend about as much as I make so, generally it balances out. Without that credit card I'd be starving and without a car to drive, either. :scratch:Kohburn wrote:the -1300 isn't the credit cards fault - infact its probably the reason you can still eat and pay for gas to go to job interviews with no income (you are looking for income right?)
the credit card is a very powerful tool that can easily be abused - by the user, or the company supplier.
Are you richer than a 5th grader?

It's not really a "bash falcon" point.
But the ideology behind today's plastic economy is to make it easier to stay in debt through convenience, and carrot-onna-stick rewards.
Me, I was functionally unemployed for nearly a year, but with no credit card. Don't ask me how, but I always managed to keep my head just above the waterline.
Credit should NEVER be the "easy solution."

"Oh, this is too good. She thinks you're a servant... Cause you're black! This is greatest moment in my miserable life... Sooo-ey! I LOVE RACISM!"
Well, plastic doesn't always mean credit. In my previous minirants I was actually mostly referring to the debit cards that come with bank accounts. You don't get in debt with those... in fact, I believe they help improve your credit score so you can do better in life anyway. :thumbleft:
Speaking of pay... I finally got paid from the bastard army! Yay, off to go move money around. 70 dollars back on the credit card. Yawn... stupid insurance. 60 bucks gone. I swear I pay more in insurance than I do for the car... :cussing:

It's a great gun no doubt but like I said, not a good choice for a newbie. But hey if your friend is willing to help out then by all means go for it.DiggityBiggity wrote:I'm not a total newbie... About 1500 on hand, draw check on the ~2800 or so once we square away all my billing...
A big chunk is headed to the government via taxes (contractor work sucks ASS for taxes), and it looks like some of it is destined for main and rod bearings, gaskets, Rockstar energy drinks, and food eaten while mourning the untimely death of my new engine...
