compression fittings on brake lines
So at autozone, I asked the girl to show me where they ahd the brake line fittings (1/4" by 3/16" reducer) she dragged me off to the compression fitting bin.
I waited and asked the owner where they were, he took me to the same compression fittings. I not so politly told him that they were illegal to use on brake lines, and he told me that everyone was driving around illegally then. I cant find the law, but I beleive I am right on this. Legal or not I would never do it, but I'm positive its illegal, Just cant seem to prove it.

I went to get a double flare anvil so I could flare my lines back together and do it the right way. I went to Napa and they gave me that same damn fitting. $6 for that piece of shit. I got to messing around with it and some brake line and I don't see how it would keep it from leaking very long. Only one place in town had the double flare by itself. $6 for it. I'm getting my money back for the splicer.
