That re-inspires my interest in doing this to one of my cars... or a whole lot of my cars. His descriptions of better feedback and controllability are especially intriguing.
Once I figure out everywhere to squirt the stuff and develop a reasonably effacacious way of measuring chassis stiffness, I have enough chasses to try 4#, 8# and 16# foam in them to see if the difference is worth the weight gain. I wouldn't mind adding 50# to the car for a 25% increase in torsional stiffness.

I mean in addition to bracing underneath the car. At this point, I'm pretty sure I want to go with a targa top on my car so I'm looking into anything to add the extra needed stiffness to the frame.
