50cal kit?

Post by whipped »

Anybody know if a 50cal kit exists? I know maadi-griffin used to sell kits until the ATF determined he was selling a kit that was too easy to assemble. It seems they still sell plans, but I'd rather put pieces together than have to cast a receiver.

agreed... My AR-15 was almost $2K
IIRC the price of 50 cal rounds are close to $5 ea. for the cheapest i have seen... I would check out gunbroker.com they have some nice used guns that go somewhat "cheap" every now and again. thats where i got my AR-15 (no, not cheap but it came with MANY awards) I've seen some at local gun shows for under $2K have you checked anything like that out?

good luck with your search, and to answer your question... i havent seen a .50 kit for a while but then again i havent really looked so...

My 1919 cost me $400.00 as they messed up when the sold me the kit and had plenty of double parts to sell. My side plate was $60.00 and my brother in-law helped with the machineing.

The Ma Duece 50 is about $5,000 for the kit and not sure about what is needed to build it to semiauto making it legal if even allowed. Rick B
