Doesn't hurt my feelings any that he doesn't want to be my buddy. I just hope there's a random baggy stuck in the console of Aawrong's car. That would be priceless.

38% in this highly unscientific poll... I'd say the national average is close to 20%.

I guess I will summarize it this way.

I have faith, respect, and support in our legal system and forms of enforcing it. That's all I can really say, and obviously some people don't.

I have never been wronged by the police. I've been pulled over a lot, and maybe it takes a man to admit this (1-up on Stimpy), but I was in the wrong, every fucking time. When I got stopped for speeding, I was speeding. When I got stopped for racing, I was racing. I was polite and "safe," and the officers were respectful yet tough, just as I'd expect them to be. They didn't play it hard and write me for every little thing, but they got the message across, and it worked (I havn't been formally pulled over since).

Of all the police officers I met, and all the ones I work with, I can honestly say I've never met one that I thought was a "bad" cop. Some made some decisions I wouldn't have, but that was their choice, they did it for a reason, and they were able to explain and justify why. Now obviously not all cops are like this, but from what I've seen, and the ones I've encountered, I have no reason to be afraid, distrusting, or otherwise paranoid. I took a 10 second motorcycle, and ran it up to 120-130mph down our 25mph neighborhood street, three times back to back. Neighbor calls cop, cop comes, I treat him with respect, he mirrors that back, and we both go on, because that'a all that needed to be done. He goes 10-8 10-98, I put the bike away and take it to the highway the next time I need the rush that a 120hp V-twin can give.

I really can't explain it in any other way.

I'll summarize it this way.

You wish you could be better then me. That's sad. You're at the prime of your life, with all of your limbs intact. You really need to have higher aspirations at this point in your life then to try to keep score against some aging, out of work cripple.

You're fucking pathetic.
I really can't explain it any other way.

Yes, because we all know you weren't doing anything illegal. The cop pulled you over just because your car is red. That must be it.

I'm not the one "keeping score".

Aaron, is it any wonder why you have no friends on this board?

If you want to give up your rights, fine. It does not mean someone else who has nothing to hide wants a cop snooping around their vehical. If enough people give up their rights, maybe they will just be taken away all together.

I agree. I care about my rights, but I am ok with giving them up on occasion for what the officer feels is public safety.
