Well now that I wouldn't appear to be spotlighting myself by making this thread, and it's reached 2 pages, I think I can reply now.

I'm amazed nobody has had anything to say about anyone else's accomplishments. Personally, I think starting your own business, swapping a n* into a Fiero, being a rocket scientist, and hauling some majorly huge stuff are some incredible accomplishments. More than I have done, that's for sure. And certainly more than a few of the replies here, which really helped fill this thread with shit, athankyou (not). Just once in our lives could we be civilized?

I would post my own but it'd probably turn into an annoyingly long and off-topic "discussion" pretty quickly. Let's just say it involves a web site I'm very proud of having built from the ground up. That, honestly, while it may not be my overall greatest accomplishment, is definitely the one I'm most proud of. I don't even need to link to it (as I probably already just did).

Loved most of the replies so far... there are some seriously awesome people out there that I didn't even know had done such amazing things. And at the same time, there were about an equal number of people that did, well... just what I thought they would have. :P

Hey, if anyone has anything to comment on what others have already said, go right ahead. It'd be nice to keep this thread rolling. :D

I completed AFROTC Field Training the summer before last. Not that it was really that hard for me, but it is one of the most important things I've done thus far in my life.

I manage to fix 99% of our equipment that our employees fuck up everyday and then can't fix. I swear the machines are definitely smarter than the operators, for instance: one of our injection molding machines refused to turn on. No heats and no pump start up. I do a quick check of the fuses and power and see all is good. I then check the machine's oil level, guess what, it is below the window. No one else bothered to keep an eye on the oil level so the machine is smart enough to not let them try and start it or use it. As soon as I have one of the guys top of the oil level it's ok again. Example number two: A machine has been down since I left on Friday. They tell me the pump won't turn on and that the control panel gave an error message about the pump bi-metallic being tripped. I got a call at home and asked if they had reset the breakers and was told this was done. I check the machine out this morning and guess what, they hadn't reset the breakers. The reason the breaker tripped was that they had put the wrong mold in the machine so I set it up to close for that mold right before I left. They noticed their mistake and put in the right mold, now the machine is not set to the right mold height. Guess what they did, they tried to force it shut and this tripped the machine's breaker. The machine will not close if it isn't set to the right mold height, Again, another case of the machine being smarter than the operators. Why can't people understand what they read? The machines tell them exactly what is wrong and why it doesn't want to operate. They just can't grasp this concept or they don't want to. This is the kind of annoying shit I have to put up with every day. Sometimes I wish I could just fire the whole crew and start from scratch.
It's a good thing that I do know what the machines are telling me so I can repair them rather quickly. I was able to take care of those two machines and two tohers before 9:00 a.m.
Rant over. :cussing:

Of course they are. I wouldn't have a clue as to how to pull off half of that stuff. I especially would like to be able to weld well enough to cobble together a N* swap.

Where was anyone uncivilized?
And just because someone made a non-serious post, it's shit?
Lighten up.
And bite my ass, while you're at it.

Hell... I can't even build a website. At least not one any better than the McPageBuilder applications that are offered here 'n' there. Just not something I've ever taken the time to learn.

And since you're throwing stones, why am I not surprised that you reacted the way you did. Yet another 20 year old who thinks he fucking knows it all. The only difference between you and Aaron is that you're not as shallow as Aaron. But you do whine a lot more.
No ill will intended to those 20 year olds who really do know it all. There are a few of you out there. You'll make big bucks (if you're not, already) if you can focus all that talent and energy.

I posted a "silly" (albiet true) response because I'm not one to blow my own horn. Again, I mean no ill will to those who have posted their accomplishments. Just not really my style.

Yes. By all means.
My apologies to the others.

I guess this band is major accomplishment. I sang all my life, but never really thought it would turn into anything. Now, I tour the East Coast of our country and play over 300 shows a year...

We don't play DC or Baltimore, you can check the schedule at Http://www.thebenderz.com

To answer your other question, in the summer, yes, we play multiple shows a day. In the winter, as right now, we play 3 - 4 shows a week, that includes acoustic shows.

Nah, we're strictly a cover band. My good friend Scott and I plan on releasing an album together though.

His greatest ability seems to be making you completely believe that. It's good you don't regret anything, but I think it would be healthy to come to terms with the fact that he turned out to be a shit after all.

I haven't really accomplished much in my life so far, but I'm frequently blown away by some of the beautiful things I've been able to witness.
I've climbed a lot of mountains and seen a lot of amazing things from some breathtaking summits. I've spent many a night watching the stars, or meteor showers; seen some brilliant displays of aurora borealis. I was fortunate enough to be watching the sky one night when a huge meteorite came down; it was in the paper the next day. I also happened to be outside one day, at around 6 AM, and as I looked up, the shuttle flew over! I had read it was going to be flying over, but had forgotten all about it, it was pure luck that I looked up at that moment! I can't remember what situation had brought the shuttle so low over our city, but it was awesome!
