Its a drifting thing, its correct on one side and backwards on the other.

That's funny, I was just reading an old issue of SCC that had an AE86 with the same "symmetrical" graphics thing going on.

Levi, did you ever get the Manual Boost Controller put on? What do you think?

No, turns out the vaccuum lines were pulled off the wastegates so even if I did it wouldn't have done anything. I was running on spring pressure only. Donk hooked up the lines, upped the boost and ended up lunching the ceramic turbines. He is now installing upgradrd R34 N1 BB turbos with steel exhaust wheels.

Ouch, that sounds like an expensive failure!

Yup, it's only recomended to go as high as 0.8 bar on R32 turbos, I think he went to 1 bar and it's risky to run anywhere 1 bar and above on the stock turbos. One of the reasons I was staying at the 0.65 bar. If I'd kept that car I was also looking at upgrading to the N1 turbos. They are good responsive turbos that will make 450-500hp at the crank.

Hadn't heard that problem recently but I remember always hearing the ceramic turbos were great... only at stock boost then they grenade.

For response you can't beat a ceramic turbo. The light weight turbine spools much quicker than a steel turbine. Everything about a GTR centered around response. Factory ITBs and ceramic turbos were pretty high tech in 1989.

Well hell yeah, GTRs make decent boost a freaking highway cruising speeds. Stock for 1989 its a phenominal setup, but if you want much over like 350HP you need new turbos.

Looks way better with the holes cut.
What type of suspension, brakes, etc plans you have? Plan to take it to any road courses this next summer?

Not sure about brakes yet. The stock brakes are 4 pots in the front and the rotors are 12". They are pretty decent. The front rotors are larger than a 300zx, the GTR weighs 3200lbs and the 300 weighs around 3800.
If I upgrade I will most likely go to R33 or 34 Brembo brakes. They are a bolt on upgrade with rotors that are slightly over 13".
I do plan to race the car, same as the last one. There are a few road courses I'd like to try out. I'm getting tired of auto x. I need to hotlap. Seems like you are at an auto x track all day with about 10 minutes of driving time total. Plus the tracks are always set up for a small car advantage. The Miatas and neons are faster than a GTR on an auto x track. Need a road course to take away their advantages and flex some of the GTRs.
I should start to get progress pictures soon, I will update when I do.

Long time since I've posted anything, here are some new parts.
Paxton Kamikaze fuel pump, Weldon FPR with aeromotive fuel pressure guage and a beer that was gone about an hour before this post.
Didn't have a pop can to compare the size with. This fuel pump is HUUUUGE!!! It will supply enough fuel for 700whp under boost. I learned something when researching fuel pumps. I never realized or thought that a boosted application requires a lot more fuel pump to overcome the added intake manifold pressure.
I don't have any pictures of my surge tank, so here is one from the site I bought it from. It's in the trunk of the car which is in Vancouver.

The first few taste really good and then you stop tasting them and your speech isn't quite as good as it should be.
