Donk and I did a straight trade, no cash involved. I knew I was getting a project car but I didn't realize how shoddy the work was from the shop Donk had the car built. Thankfully they sent the motor out for the rebuild...
Rear turbo has to come out, they messed up the oil line and there is no way around it. At this rate I should have my car back by fall...

I'm sorry I though you were talking about the people who did the R324 conversion.

Nope, Martin who did the conversion and is fixing all these problems has been great. He knows these cars inside and out which is nice. Subracing, the shop Adrian had the shop at are the monkeys that screwed all this stuff up.
One thing I forgot to mention, subracing dropped the transmission without disconnecting the speedo cable and broke the 260km/h cluster... Now I probably need a new cluster as well....
Things just keep adding up.

Can't donk call them up and bitch at them?

Nope, subracing went out of business. We had to rescue his car from their shop after they closed their doors. It's just one huge bad situation. I think this silver car is cursed.
Anyone that doesn't know this cars history should read this thread

Quite a story.

Donk never really gets into all the problems with Sub Racing, but they went under when his car was not completed.

Had a dyno day last Wednesday, had a few issues which didn't let the car have a clean run. The thermostat failed which didn't let the engine come up to temp. The Altenator was dead, not sure why, and the fuel pump regulator was not working properly which was leading to rich/lean conditions.
Everything has been repaired/replaced and is back on the dyno tomorrow for a tune. Martin and I are hoping for 450-500whp on an AWD Mustang dyno which usually read much lower than a dynojet.
I'd be happy with anything over 400whp, especially at all 4 wheels. Will update tomorrow

It's got more in it, but it's a safe tune on 91 octane gas and a little water/meth. Tuner says I can get more with running straight methanol instead of the 50/50 water meth mix.
Anyone want to guess how much power it would put down on a 2wd dynojet?
Assuming 20% drivetrain loss which is conservative on an AWD car it is making around 515 at the crank. I'm pretty happy with that. I will get it tuned again after I put some miles on the car.
Vids and dyno graph to come.

Car went to the dyno before paint. It should be there this week, maybe I will have some finished pics by next weekend.
I'm thinking about flying to Vancouver and driving it back. The dyno shop even did a lean cruise tune for me so I can get some decent mileage on it going down the highway. Decent being 18mpg... lol. That's what my old GTR got...

gotcha.
got it all running good just in time for the summer driving season too. Have fun with it. Just be carefull. Thats a decent amount of power for the street if you aren't used to it.

Good call on the wing. I like the Advans, but have you thought about some sick deep dish rim?

Well, I am thinking about getting some custom 3 piece rims so I don't have to run wheel spacers. The Advans are 18x9.5 and +17 offset. Can pretty much fit whatever I want now, maybe 18x10 or 11s with proper offset would look good. I am running 25mm spacers on all 4 corners but to fit properly I need 35mm in the rear.
We will see, first major upgrade will be brakes. I want to race the car and with the additional power I want to be able to stop as well.
