Quick question. I was under the impression that a chassis dyno is where the engine is out of the car, not turning through a tranny, driveshaft, axle, or wheels, just turning, giving you crank horsepower. Is this correct or is a chassis dyno where the engine is in the car, as it drives, and it gives you wheel horsepower?
I know the difference between crank and wheel hp, and that they are typically 15-20% apart, but which one does a chassis dyno give?
Thanks
