I just got my 4th phone call tonight alone, advertising for McCain.

Is there a way to block these calls? It almost makes me want to live in iraq.

I'd like you to live in Iraq too...... or anywhere without a web connection.

Get a restricted number noob. Although, since you're voting for the socialist party member, you'll soon enough have the same phone number as everyone else.

I don't get many repeat calls anymore. I just added the sound clip of the disconnected phone line to my answering machine message. If I don't recognize the number, the machine picks it up, plays the tone and most of them never call back. I've gone from 15~20 unsolicited calls per day to 1~2.

There was a product on the market called the "tele-zapper" that did exactly that.

Add your number to the national do-not-call list.

I'm on the do not call list, and never get telemarketing calls. I'm just getting the political ones, all day long. I cannot wait for Tuesday to arrive.

What are the calls about?

Is it a survey or something else?

Everything political. Whether it be local stuff for amendments and stuff, or national for the Presidential candidates. I don't get any useful calls on it either.

Political calls are specifically exempted from this.

True enough. I've only had a couple for Obama though, the ones from McKain, almost daily.

Luckily they'll stop after tomorrow.
