It works just like a normal distributor, except at the point where it turns it has a sort of differential, a set of gears to change the direction of the shafts, much like a distributor out back in a RWD car.

If I owned that, the first thing I'd do is put better heads on it and change to DIS.

Put better heads on it? Like what Gen 3? Not a problem obviously.

Gen 2's still do ok though.

I bet you could make something similar to that distributor setup using a right angle drill attatchment hahaha it wouldn't be pretty in the least bit, but if you were hell-bent on having that distributor.... :rotflmao:

the only reason to do that is if you have a clearance issue..
like running a complete 3400 top end on a stock fiero block/electronics

Sweeet deal for whoever buys it.

That's a different kind of ITB for Gen II heads than we've seen before.

If it has a crank triggered ignition, why did he bother with a distributor?

i don't think you could get a distributor on witht he dohc heads - they cover up the port

I doubt you could. With some trimming yes, but then you'd run into interuption ithe the coolant pieces there. Either way, why?

All these parts were pretty easy to get about 10-15 years ago. The only ones i know of are in Falconers warehouse. He still has (had) a shit load of parts as of last summer.

He has those intakes, forged (2.8) cranks.....thats who I got my dry sump from last year.

And P8ntman442 if thats the holy grail, yours would be the bronze medal you get when you you did 5 pushups in preschool.

For the last god damn time prototype block does NOT = really really good! For christ sakes you have an ALUMINUM block with ALUMINUM sleeves!! Woop-de-doo they are anodized...The reason YOUR block didnt become "the" block is because its a PISS POOR DESIGN! The "floating sleeve" is NOT the best thing for boost. Ask the Honda guys who weld in girdles to make their decks solid.

Falconer has 'em, eh? He's like 15 minutes from my house and practically down the road from Stimpy. Shall we assemble a strike team?
