Has anybody tried playing with different front springs from other cars on the front of a Fiero? How about Chevette springs? I wonder what chevette spring rates are compared to a Fiero?

Not sure about front, but I did find this out the other week regarding rear Springs on an 88. The 88 rear springs are the same diameter and slightly taller than the front spring of a late model Cavalier / Sunfire. I put an 88 rear spring on a buddies son's 02 Sunfire to get him through the week till he got the proper spring. The Fiero spring fit perfectly on the Sunfre strut and sat about an inch higher free length than the J-body spring.

No use to you Ben, but a possible solution for 88 owners looking for a slight drop or different spring rates.

Dunno but that should be on the interwebz somewhere, they must be somewhat stiff, Those J-bodies don't have a front sway bar on them.

They actually were available with front sway bars of varying sizes depending on suspension options My 03 deffinently has a sway bar, as far as spring rates go I have no idea but Im sure you could find it fairly quick in the suspension forum at www.jbody.org
