that's how global warming works. more extremes.

I think this hurricane season should've been a pretty big flag.

Global Warming will eventually cause the planet to plunge into another ice age...

The records have been exceeded this year... we've never in recorded history had a season like this one...

As for the ice age, we're shutting down the gulf stream. Read any European newspaper, they talk about it at least once a week.

Diggity...You really should do more research before you say stuff like that.

If anything "Global Warming" is keeping us out of the next cycle which is an Ice Age.

Of course the Europeans are worried about the Gulf Stream... it keeps the chicks nude on the French Riviera.

You're not, by chance, basing any of your opinions on that "study" that was done on Gulf Stream temps over the last 40 years, are you?

It is you who needs to do research... Global Warming will cause the next ice age by shutting down the Gulf Stream

It also only takes a big flux of freshwater out off the coast of Nova Scotia to really slow down the ocean current... oh hey there's freshwater ice all out there.. big surprise!
This has been an explanation for signs of sudden ice age in the past after an ice age seemed to recede. The warming caused glaciers that were blocking inland freshwater seas to break, the water poured out into the ocean, changed the relative density slowing down a big current where saltwater sinks out there. Check out some ocean flow diagrams and you'll see what I'm talking about.
HOWEVER, this would take a sudden increase in temps such that the ice sheets out there melt very very quickly for it to cause the change. As far as I know, current climate change models do not predict that this is very likely.
