Many words of political bitterness have been exchanged here in the last few weeks. To what end?
Yes, many great ideas have gained fruition though the use of superior weaponry. A hammering with a a 20 kiloton nuclear warhead is hard to argue with, when you are absolutely sure that your philosophy has a solid position of unarguable logic.
Many of the ways and means of the the industrial nations today have evolved, having folllowed our lead as a country, seeming without a clear or definable purpose. Much of the time, we are not sure anymore. Is the purpose of our existence to get the maximum electronic fluidity in our communications with others? (Via cell phones, DVD players, internet forums, cameras both still and animate, and the flash in the eyes of the latest hot pr0n star?)
The ways and means of the last several hundred years, meaning a series of gory blood flushing wars, has produced at best, a system of free thought, that perhaps no human-limited being, could ever hope to sustaiin.
We want to be free. We want to benefit from our neighbours labor and skills, if we trade our own specialization hours for theirs.
In all ages and times, there has always been an inherent dissatifaction with the prevailing system of mass organization of activity.
They call it............the political climate.
There is a long and consistent history of violence connected with this "political climate", whatever form it has taken. The rules were agreed upon, because the anarchic masses decided it was for their best. They indeed, needed a government.
Party system? What party? Transcending beyond a set a pre-deternined values, based in an experience not shared by the mass, what party? If, in depth analysis of the populace yields a deep dissatisfaction with the pre-determined rules of interaction, and the general social "rock-and-roll", then it has been a traditional reaction of the populace to rebel. Unfortunately, this occurs in all well too recorded cycles.
We are humans. We can do better. We can break the cycles we created in the first place, and transcend that which we are programmed with in the first place.
Is it wishful thinking? Is it a fantasy of gamebox toy fantasy? I would think not.............Will it happen overnight?........NO. However, we as a species, are capable of producing lunar landing modules, with co-ordinated centimeter landing parameters. I do believe we can do it.
Is it done by way of personal insulting argument? No.............. It is done by way of a clear eloquence and diplomatic approach to the all to well known predatory inclinations in our nature. It is a skill of both politics and science. It is a method of both psychology and technology. It is a tact, and consideration, and courtesy, that we may well do better to grant each other in our quest for freedom.
