EGR tube gaskets for 2p8

Post by The Dark Side of Will »

I need the gaskets that seal the EGR tube to the manifold & EGR valve. CarQuest doesn't have them listed as such, although they may be in the EGR valve gasket set.

Anybody know where I could get these? Fierostore?

I do know they come in the intake gasket kit from felpro. Its like $25 but kind of pricey if you only need the egr stuff. I might have some laying around. If so I can slap a stamp on an envelope.

If you have a couple, that would be good.

The Fierostore has them for $3.50 each.
I'm going to check Advance & Autozone today.

You could just get some copper flashing and cut your own.

Car's not urgent. I'll save the creativity for engine swaps.

Looking at 3.0 TDC, but have to build the engine first and don't have pistons/rings yet.

don't know if the 2.8 egr gaskets will work. Not sure if they are the same as the TDC gaskets. If thats what you need them for is a TDC then I prob can't help ya.

Summit stocks exhaust gasket material sheets. Something like $5 for a sheet 12 by 12 inch square.

Of course you'll have to find something else to buy--the handling charge will be more than the purchase.

edit: Here's the part number: PHP-68006. unfortunately it looks like they're out of stock until 9/15.

Copper sheet, a pair of snips and a couple of hole punches is creative? OK.
