She's out of my life.
Just struck a phone deal with a guy in Ohio to buy my car. Guess I'm a Mopar guy now.

Good luck with Mopardom. Hopefully I'll be joining you in a couple of years. Not like I can actually afford a new Challenger, but it's something to aspire (perspire?) to. I've had a couple of early 70s Barracudas. Complete shitpiles (when your late teens and would rather get high or laid, it's hard to fund a decent resto), but I still miss them.
I like your new Dodge. They're getting harder and harder to find in one piece, much less in running condition.
Edit... WTF is up with P-I-E-C-E being auto-edited to peice?!

Yeah, I had a little slap of reality today though. I talked to an auto body guy who basically wanted about $5000 to get it restored as in cutting off the rusted panels, replacing them, and getting it completely repainted. And it would still be a a 30 year old carberated car that I'm counting on as primary transport.
OR
I can take my $5000 and get myself a good Regal GS and keep working on the car myself and be satisfied with the results I can muster considering my lack of resources, funds, or talent. Actually I'm pretty much thinking about going that way for now, and do the Dart professionally later on.

Hi Jeff, my father used to have a Grey and Black vynil top '69 Dodge Dart GTS with the 318 V8 In it. His was rated at 270HP from the factory but the previous owner had done some work to it. It had a high rise intake manifold wih dual carbs, headers and straight pipes. It also had bucket seats and a 4 speed tranny with the Hurst shifter. The previuos owner said he used to race it. I also seem to remember the car was lowered too. This was back in '75 when we still lived in Mexico. That was a sweet car and one of the first cars I ever drove. I used to rev it up to 1500 rpms and pop the clucth to do burn outs. It also was very loud. A friend of mine back in the late 70's had one of the green slant 6 Darts. You couldn't kill those engines and they gave reasonable gas mileage too. That red one you posted a picture of looks pretty good.
I treat others as they treat me

Sounds like a winner. You're going to have quite the driveway.stimpy wrote:Don't kill yourself. An L67 Fiero is a beast.
I'm probably going to go buy another V8 Dart this weekend. A driver, so I can put some work onto Krusty. This one.
New paint, dual Flowmasters, new upholstery. $3000. Eventually I'll get a 340 in one of them, that will kick ass.

I've been readiing about the Mexican and Brazilian Darts on the internets. I guess there was just some really wild stuff available south of the border, like Plymouth Scamp Super Bees and stuff like that.Dirty Sanchez wrote:Hi Jeff, my father used to have a Grey and Black vynil top '69 Dodge Dart GTS with the 318 V8 In it. I like the whitewalls for this one, just not the wheels. I'll probably put some Kustom chrome humbaps over them. To go with those lake pipes I gotta get.
