Do you rent or own your house/apartment/place of residence? Also, is it in a city, town, or counrty?

I own my own house (since Nov 18, 2005), and live in a town of 4800 retired farmers. :thumbleft: .

Rent (my roommate's parents own it). $350 /month including utilities. College town of ~30,000. I beleive it is one of the most expensive places to live in the country though. All these damn rich movie stars and stuff around here.

Unless you mean $1350, You're confused. That's not even close to being one of the most expensive places to live.

I'm in West Hollywood. It's $1250 a month including utilities and internet.

There's a lot of rich movie stars and stuff around here. :-P

Should try Fort McMurray, up north from here. Try over $1500 for a 1 bedroom small apartment, to just rent, with outdoor parking only. And do you know where Fort McMurray is? Middle of the oil patch, and about 500KM form any other city/town.

Considering the average annual income in Bozeman is only 59% of national average yet the housing costs are 102%, I'd consider it a pretty expensive place to live.

average income gets thrown way off around college campus's due to the student population

My city of Salinas won the dubious honor of being the least affordable place in the United States, when you compare housing prices to average wages. The 164,000 population doesn't coun't the illlegal population, but leaves only 24% whitey even so. It's the Salad Bowl of the World, so much of the population is migrant field worker.

I love it here.

i left one of my previous jobs in Montgomery county because i couldn't afford to live there. My boss was one of the VP's of a major medical drug company and had to help his lawyer daughter afford a 2 bedroom condo there. it was so expensive because it was full of brain surgions, geneticists, etc. supposed to be one of the most expensive places to live in the US.
