2.8 Belt tensioner.......

Im sick of this stupid belt tightening to keep it from squeeling.

I would like someone to build a tensioner bracket for me, that I will pay for. It will simply require welding, stock steel, and an engine thats out of a car. I have access to none of those right now or I would do it myself.

Rodney sells an Idler, but I would like a tensioner. I know Sinister made one, and a guy on Old Europe made one as well (dodgerunner) so it can be done.

Who's game.

The other option is someone design it and I have it machined. Billet would be cool. If I had the engine out of my car I would do that.

It's already designed. I think it may even be available...

I have nothing to do with it except that I plan to buy one soonish. : ]

Cool I didnt know dodgerunner had a website. I had sent him a PM on Old Europe but His site has an update on it that reads:

Please Note:
Update 2/19/07
Well now it’s warmed up but one more delay. The wife’s trany took a dump so have to deal with that this week.
I’m saving request in the order I am receiving them and should be able to start filling them next week.
Thanks for your patience. AGAIN!

Fortunatly for me Im going back to CT next weekend, and may be able to build one myself sooner than I could get one shipped. I'm Very Impataient.

I think part of my problem is a missing bolt in the alternator bracket. The upper head bolt hole. My heads dont have the hole for it. This causes the belt to loosen ever so slightly when its tight.

Look about two posts down. Try contacting Sinister for one.

Im pretty sure his would work with the sotck alternator brackets, but he would have to confirm that.
