i spend as little time on the computer at home as possible. i'm stuck on a computer at work and i have much better things to do at home than sit at a computer.

ha ha i work at an internet company and they've blocked all the youtube. myspace and crap like that but they can't block this site because it has the word tech in it and that is one of the things that there scan tool overlooks due to the nature of this job.

If you have XP Pro at home, and broadband, set up a Remote Desktop connection.
It's encrypted. Nobody can tell what you're looking at unless they have some sort of snoopware on your work 'puter that does screen caps or keylogging.
They *will* see the connection on the firewall if they look for it (TCP port 3389... unless you move it. *grin*), but they won't be able to tell what the traffic is.

The only down side is that pictures are very slow to load (at least with DSL.) Forget about looking at video.

If you're doing that, you're relying on the upload speed of your home connection, which is universally MUCH slower than the download speed.

Very true.
But it's still better than not being able to surf, at all.
