I'll post more pics later. Just gauging interest. I'd like to see around a grand.
I'll toss in the ECM set up for two bar, blow off valve, mustang injectors, Maximum Boost the book and some other stuff related to it.
I will not be doing handholding.
I think the turbo is undersized for the 2.8. If you think Will's idea of 2.8 VE is correct, the turbo the way it is, can flow enough for a 2.8@5500rpm. With just a compressor wheel change, I think it could support even a 3.4L engine. I do have compressor maps for the turbo and suggested upgrade. A new compressor wheel goes for $150. They have went on ebay for as low as $50. I didn't buy it because I didn't have the money to spend at the time.

Honestly, cash talks. Someone gives me a real offer and it goes.

Is this from the late unpleasantness with that guy who sells engine swap kits?

Of course.

Have you had it on a Fiero 2.8 and if so, how well did it work for you?
I've thought about turboing my Formula but wasn't planning on it in the near future.
Have any pictures of the rest of the stuff it comes with?

Not so hot.
I'll get some pictures together if you're interested.
Honestly though, since you can weld Doug, I think you're better off starting from scratch.
For someone that doesn't know how to weld and thinks they are smarter then me, this could be a good project.

Thanks for the honest opinion. That's basically the information I was looking for.

Since I can weld and I know I'm not smarter than you, then I'll home-brew mine when (if) I get that far. Of course I'll ask for your and Shaun's help in picking the best junkyard turbo.

any turbo in a junkyard is there for a reason.
Leave it and buy something worthwhile.

Guys running JY turbo 3rd Gen F-bodies are going pretty fast, but they're usually doing the rest of the system right and only skimping on the turbos. And they always go faster when they get the proper turbos, too.

If there were a winking smily on this board I would have used it.

Hmmmm, I'm intruiged, it looks like it would be easy enough to remove for smog checks. But if it doesn't really work well, I dunno, I don't know a lot about turbos. Course, I'd only run a few pounds of boost on my 3.4, its not built for it. Any thoughts about this?
