Good point about the heat range of the plug. Its been a while, but I remember it being a non-resister race plug. So, it was probably a 'cold' plug already. Will, FWIW I used the coatings, but on a smaller scale. I coated the piston crown, combustion chamber and valves on a kart race engine. A pressure washer and some acid used at the swimming pool will do the trick.
