I have two dogbones for sale. One is an 85-86 style (the kind with the rib on the outside), still has the bushings. Would be good for poly replacements or you could use as-is. The vinyl isn't a bad idea except that I much prefer a cloth desk chair. We have vinyl or leather (I'm not sure) at work and they're too hot.

Does anyone know the diameter and thread pitch of the bolts that hold the seat tracks to the bottom of the seat? My spare seat (soon to be desk chair) is missing the bolts and I need to get new ones.

You could probably find a MK3 Jetta VR6 for around your price range. My brother used to be able to pull 30 out of his on the highway. It's chipped now but he still gets 27/28.

I put NuFinish on the wheels on my GTI. The dust didn't seem to collect as fast as before, and when it did, a quick blast with the garden hose took it all off.
