The transmission is a stout piece, I have seen two 300whp Cavy's personally and heard of many more on forums.

I put 385wtq and 400whp through a 282 for awhile. When we took it apart, the transmission looked to be in really good shape. I didn't drive the car extremely hard, but I dropped it down into 3rd a few times pretty hard, and also a few times dropping down into 2nd and nailing it.

I emailed Bates Engineering for some prices because I am still thinking about the swap.

Here is what I got priced, they seem very nice and offered to give me advice on my build if I wanted.

That quote that I got above is form Bates engineering it is $225. The problem is that it dosnt come with the spacer for the flywheel, but that could easly be fabed up.
