Anyone have a link to some info on what each year or series of this engine had?
are the series 1s just crap??

Whille the S1's are somewhat upgradeable, the aftermarket is focused on the S2's. The S2 is superior in pretty much every way. I believe the S2 was used from '96 on.

i personally wouldnt bother with a series 1.
Much much much more after market support and power with a series 2.
97 and up GTP/ Regals etc. Although i believe buicks got the series 2 s3.8sc in 96.
