Are they welding on a hacked off Skyline clip, or transplanting the Skyline parts into an S13/14?
I can't see a Skyline clip going for less than $10K, and grafting it onto another chassis and getting it right is a hell of a lot of work.

They're illegal for use on public roads.
Motorex used to import them, but they had to do a LOT of stuff to one to make it legal... change all the glass, for instance. And they had one crash tested. I think their problem was that they tried to pull a fast one on NHTSA and only tested R32's, while importing R33's and R34's as well.
So with the proper mods, an R32 can be legal, but, to my knowledge, the appropriate testing has not been done to allow R33's & R34's to be made US legal.

I get it that they are putting the Skyline parts in the SX. I still don't see how I could be legal in Callifornia, though. The Dark Side of Will wrote:Are they welding on a hacked off Skyline clip, or transplanting the Skyline parts into an S13/14?
