What's your view?

Post by RoughKitty »

What's your view on step parents?
Like them?
Hate them?
They are alright?

What do you think? I've just going through so much shit with my step-dad and my step-mom that I am about ready to blow a gasket here. Step-mom stole about $8000 from me, my step-dad is a control freak that for some reason always over rules my mom....ALL kinds of stuff. It's just a joy you know =/

My mommy and daddy still love each other.

My step-father adopted me as his own when I was 8... he is not one to show his emotions, and "tough love" comes to mind when I think of him. But deep down, he is an extremely senstive and caring man... who loves the Green Bay Packers

Have your step mom arrested for theft. :thumbleft: That aught to teach her to take your shit, unless you are afraid of being kicked out of the house or getting in trouble with your father.

step parents are ussually ass holes, and if they have kids at home, then you become the red headed step child. just my experiences, though.

false.

Atleast in my experience. My step-dad is the person I respect the most in this world.

Also, the two step-moms I've had have been pretty cool too.

I live with my mom and my dad passed away about 3 years ago and she spent all my college money. Fuckin bitch, but my lawyer says we are going to get the money back.

And as for my step-dad, he tries to act like my father and he has my mom wrapped around his finger so she listens to everything he has to say and goes with it. I think she's scared of him cause he's got a violent temper I must say. I feel really sorry for my little brother cause he's 3 and he has to live with his dad's shit for another 15 or so years and I've been dealing with it for about 5 and I am about ready to flip a gasket here. I am moving out very soon.... =/

I just moved into my step-dads house.

He's a great guy. Giving me and the wife a CHEAP place to live while we assemble the downpayment on a place.

We had an apartment all lined up, but doing it this way means we'll own a house in 6 months instead of a year... So why the hell not? :thumbleft:

I don't hate my stepparents. But then again, I never had any.

how do you end up with a step mom AND a step dad?

nm....

being a young adult in an environment where the only real authourity is "its my house" is gonna be tough.

view on stepparents...like them...hate them...etc....
everyone is different, so no one answer can ever fit this.

a man who raises another man's child.....

overall, I think theres a little something amiss in a man who would step up to do this. couldn't find a decent woman? settled for someone else's leftovers? but, like in yer case - easy prey for a control freak.

Uhh, you're dad remarries and your mom remarries. Seriously, how hard is that one to figure out?

well, normally, you end up with one or the other - usually mom, so you have mom & step dad.
sometimes, you end up with dad, and end up with dad & step mom

step mom & step dad sounds almost like a foster child.

You're assuming that you're either killing one parent off, one goes gay, or otherwise becomes unmarriageabble. A divorced couple is two single people that can both then re-marry.

Seriously, my dog can figure that out.

What's really wierd is if one of your parents gets divorced again. Then all of the sudden you don't have a step-mom and step-brother anymore.
