Yup, most mid engine cars have the cockpit stucture and then subframes attached to they can break loose in event of a huge collison.
Sucks bout the Enzo and all the other carbon/composite passenger tubs is that in a big collison, its just a throw away item, you can't repair it once its damaged that much.
Take a Saleen s7 which is tubeframe, the frame can be stripped and if its not too bad, you can repair the tubing or replace it and save the car.
But that dude doesnt care, hes breathing outta a machine right now
