I don't like rebody's, like trying to copy the ferrari and such, seems to riced out to me, it isn't a ferrari don't make it a wannabe one,
origonal kits are ok by me, but so far I havn't seen any I really like, I think the fino and finale are ugly.
the predator one i think it was called? looks cool, made by the guy that ended up dying in a tragic motorcyle accident

Just looking for opinions. I have too many cars and am really having a hard time deciding what to keep. I have a very unique rebody, it was never put into production and sold as a kit. I have the 3rd of 3 proto-types build. 1 has been totaled some there is only one other car like this in the world. It has been a great car but it still has the 2,8 in it. It has won over 150 car show awards with the best being Best in Class at Chicago World of Wheels
Then we have the GBCT 1987 GT chopped top LT1 It’s claim is it’s V8Archie ChopTop #1 It a great running car, but it is showing it’s age. And even with all of it’s flaws it was voted Best Fiero at Indy along with a Top 25 at the same show. This was a Pontiac Show with over 300 cars and 30to 40 Fiero’s.
The Predator needs a motor and the ChopTop needs some paint and body work to make me satisfied
Which car would you keep……...

I've only seen pictures of the Predator, but I have seen the blue car in Texas when the previous owner had it. I liked his red car better.
I'd say keep the Predator and get a high tech powerplant like an LS4 or a High Feature V6. Do something cool and different. And for gods sake don't let V8Archie put his mitts on it.

Paint is only about a 6 or 7 out of 10Shaun41178(2) wrote:What sort of body work does it need?
hood vents have a small crack on one of the inside edges
Could use new ¼ windows I messed up the drivers side and made my own replacement.
One roof pillar has a small crack in the paint ….I sure the fiberglass will need to be repaired.
Sunroof needs a new seal and I need to repair the latch I tightened to much trying to not buy a new seal.
And I would probably replace the headliner if I wanted to show the car.
Rear tires are 50 % fronts 85 %
Weak headlight motor on Drivers side………still works most of the time.
I have put over 25,000 milers on this car and the only things I have replaced was the clutch and the rear tires………. oh ya I did snap a axel. and even all of the flaws I listed the car has won over 25 awards including Best Fiero at Indy and a top 25 there also……this show had over 300 Pontiacs and 35 Fiero’sstimpy wrote:It was put together by V8Archie. And I broke the axle being a dumb ass……..While trying to learn the best way to launch the car it went like thisnutswinging V8Archie fool wrote:He didn't have one in stock when i did it. He ordered one from his supplier and had it shipped to me in 3 days. I never got a bill.Shaun41178(2) wrote:Did V8Archie replace the snapped axle for free?
I did pay to have it replaced, as that was cheaper then trying to take it 140 miles to him..
The tires were the weak link when I got the car……..when I replaced the tires the cluch then became the weak link.,. too many 2nd gear launches with new tires meant new clutch
And when you have new tires add a new {500 mile broken-in} clutch. It’s not wise to do a 3500RPM clutch dump…………SNAP totally my fault.

Especially not with a 30# Rchee flywheel.
As for rebodies, I've sat in a real Countache and a real 308 and would feel ridiculous driving a Fiero rebody trying to look like either.
I've seen a Countache kit on a stock wheel base Fiero and it was absurd.
I've seen a Dino 246 rebody that looked pretty good... except that it was as tall as a Fiero.
