I'll agree that if the spam is causing problems it needs to be gotten rid of, one way or another.

Does the Golden Triangle mafia do hits? If we have the spammers' IP addresses logged, we can just hand the list over and tell them not to bill us until the job's done.

Every time I check RFT, I click the link that says "View posts since last visit." I normally get about a page or two of new posts. All of them are spam, except maybe 5 posts.

Thanks Diggity, hopefully Howard does do something about the spam, and the other issues.

Somehow I'm not surprised.

I really wish Howard would do something, or at least allow someone to do something to fix it.

what are you looking for? 60 pages were deleted last week. Its up to a few extra pages now but thats easy to take care of.

The forum is running faster now isn't it? At least it is for me.

What am I looking for? It's easy. A single spam preventing mechanism when people register, and removal of the bath house section. It'd take an hour, at most. And then someone to dedicate 10 minutes a day banning bot members. I'd be more than happy, as many here would. Hell, just assign each of us a page to sift through and ban bot members. Banning people is much faster than PMs, and those guys knocked out a PM to every one of Cliffer's members in under an hour!

Deleting pages does very little. It barely helps, and only for a week or two. They come back. Every hour there are 20 more posts. And the 9,500+ members that are all bots don't help the situation. The forum is slightly faster, though still slower than every other forum I'm on, even the mega forums (109,000 real members).

I get bot signups every day but none have them have managed to post yet :thumbleft:
