He's going to use it to build a V8Cletus kit car. Hate me more?88GTneverfinsihed wrote:Very disappointing. Sending a carb legal 3800sc fiero out of state is a crime.
Especially to Ohio. I fucking hate Ohio.

Okay, I couldn't help myself. Guy from Ohio here with Stimpy's car. Well, first of all I was planning on doing an L67, LS4 or similar swap on a Fiero. Even already had an 88 formula getting ready for a Finale body change and was going to wait for Sinister to do all of or at least part of the engine swap. Next thing I know I see Stimpy's ad. I just couldn't resist. It even had the OBD II system in place. No, we don't have the emissions testing and problems here but if you're ever going to sell a car again you don't know where it might end up sooo... the more compliant the emissions package the better.
I've been building kit cars for 34 years and here's this guy telling about his great drivetrain with a worn out body. Perfect match. No, I don't plan on putting a v8 in the car. This thing is fast just the way it is. I'm doing the Finale because I've always wanted to do one since the day I met the orginal English designer at a kit car show many, many years ago. Yeah, I know you guys don't like the A R C H I E word around here but many kit suppliers don't even answer their phones let alone have decent products. He's got the product I want. Oh, yeah I do plan on doing some performance upgrades to the motor as well. I'd like to hit around 300-325 rwhp just to keep the local import crowd at bay on the highway. Might try a quarter mile run with it but if it breaks under 13 (track guys have this thing about fiberglas street cars under 13 with no cage) I'll only have one crack at it locally. Oh, well there's another track a couple hours from here with less rules (that' a good thing???).

Yep, I've been reading posts here for a couple of months just didn't have much to comment on with Fieros until I could jump into a project. Nahhh... orange won't be happening. I'll be going base/clear in a solid color red. I'll be trimming that up with ghost flames using industrial crushed diamonds in the clear flames. Hope to bury a subtle color changing American flag with the word Pontiac somewhere. Maybe in the rear clip. I'll definitely get a thread going on the build. Just going through the mechanical stuff now and making notes. Really neat car...
